Why do clients leave US Digital Partners?

All good things must come to an end, and working with USDP is no different.
Here are the main reasons why clients leave US Digital Partners.
Mergers and acquisitions
The top reason clients leave is that they have been sold or merged with another company, and the acquiring company wants to do things differently. We never want to handcuff our clients, so we will work to do what it takes for this transition to happen. It's a blessing to see our clients grow, but it's sad when we won't be along for the ride anymore.
Budget constraints
A lack of marketing budget can be another reason clients leave USDP. We are serious about marketing, and it takes strategy, execution, and funding to accomplish big goals. Sometimes clients don't have the stamina for funding the relentless march that is digital marketing. We understand, but we are also disappointed to see marketing budgets getting slashed. Some leaders just don't understand that good marketing drives sales growth. But the mandate to cut budgets does happen, and we will do whatever it takes to reduce spending.
Shifting priorities
Business priorities can shift. A client may shift focus to new products or services, and the digital work we're doing together no longer aligns with the new priorities. USDP will always try to adapt when a shift like this happens, but it’s not always possible.
Unmet expectations
Despite our best efforts, sometimes our work doesn't meet a client's expectations. It could be the creative direction, the results, or different personalities. If the right chemistry or a solid partnership isn’t there, it might be best to part ways.
A new partner
Finally, a client may just desire a different agency. They may want a larger agency with different capabilities, or a smaller one with a hyper-specialized skill. Sometimes clients just want a new perspective after years of working together. At USDP, we try to rotate our team members from time to time in order to bring "fresh eyes" into the work. But if the partnership has run its course, it's best to wish each other well and begin transitioning things.
These are the most common reasons for clients leaving. It's a natural part of the business process, and we accept these circumstances with dignity and professionalism. We never want a client to regret working with USDP.
