USDP operates on five core principles: love, humility, clarity, teamwork, and results.

Together, these principles give our clients a clear strategy, honest communication, actionable project roadmaps, cross-functional expertise, and measurable business growth.

Helping our clients grow is important to us. Supporting the individuals we work with energizes us.

And our philosophy reflects it. Hear more about it from our team.

Why these core principles?

“As a company, we must have a workplace culture that is rooted in love, humility, clarity, teamwork, and ultimately, results. This goes for both our team members and our clients.

We believe our five core principles build upon one another in an order that is correct and most beneficial to all. With a foundation of mutual respect that’s grounded in humility, we can effectively communicate with clients, work together as a team, and produce excellent digital marketing results. If we don’t approach each project with love and a desire to understand one another, we’re failing before we even get started.

At the end of the day, these five principles of love, humility, clarity, teamwork, and results shine through in the work that we do if we’re giving it our all.”

David Brecount, CEO and Co-Founder

Love

Love is the first of our principles. Anchoring our client interactions in love gives us a profound empathy for their needs and goals.

While marketing tasks don’t always seem like big gestures of love, they have a deep impact on our clients’ businesses.

We are not the ones out in the field serving the poor and hungry like our non-profit clients. We’re not mending broken bones like our healthcare clients. And we’re not helping people navigate retirement like our wealth management clients. But the way we love our clients, through the day-to-day tasks of digital marketing, helps them reach more customers to love.”

Ben Jacoby, Client Leader

Humility

“Our work is only worth doing if we do it right. We tell the truth and stay humble. When a project misses the mark, we don’t play the blame game. We look at the work we’ve done and evaluate it honestly.

If we’re stuck on a task we consult with the rest of our team to find a solution. We know when to admit we’re stumped.

Our development team meets every Friday to discuss the latest innovations and improvements in tech, AI, and web development. This gives us a chance to learn from one another, hear about each other’s projects, and offer feedback. We keep one another on our toes!”

Herman Muguluma, Developer

Clarity

“When clients understand a company's offerings, good things happen. In all our meetings and communications, we aim for clear, honest expectations and productive discussions. We want what’s best for our clients and that gets accomplished when we listen well and produce great work that contributes to their goals.

In the beginning of our digital marketing partnership, we outline the roadmap for each client and what it might mean for their business. As we progress in our relationship and execute on marketing tasks, our meetings get more granular and specific. We strive to set goals, meet them, and follow up with results, so we’re all on the same page.”

Emmy Stephens, Account Manager

Teamwork

“No department or individual is a silo, and cooperation builds excellence in our work.

At USDP, multiple teams will put their mark on a specific piece of work before it goes live. Projects go through various rounds of refinement, and team members consult with one another to make our work high-quality.

Our work is better when team members from multiple disciplines and perspectives provide input.”

Liz Horn, Performance Marketing Analyst

Results

“We plan, execute, and measure the results of our digital marketing work so we can build momentum for our clients.

Month-to-month, we’re tracking ad campaigns, email opens, website visits, sales, and how they all tie in together. Zooming out, we look at the big picture over months and years to compare where our clients started with how they’re progressing.

We’re always evaluating what’s working well, what needs to change, and how to move clients toward their goals. Each month is a new opportunity to grow, reach more of their customers, and stay on top of emerging trends in their industries.”
