Marketing Roadmap

Sometimes you have too much to do and you don’t know where to begin with marketing.

If this is you, don’t despair. The best place to start is with a plan.

A marketing roadmap is for you if:

  • Your company has a history of success, but you are afraid it’s falling behind.
  • You haven’t done much marketing in the past, but you know it’s time to start.
  • You are struggling to set realistic marketing goals.
  • You need a “proof of concept” to justify your marketing budget.
  • You need a proven plan to generate results.

What is a marketing roadmap

A marketing roadmap is your plan for moving from mediocrity to excellence. Whether you are trying to free your marketing from a state of inaction or plan a project that’s so big it feels impossible, a marketing roadmap can make it doable. It all starts with an understanding of your Point A and Point B.

Point A

This is your starting point. We determine your Point A by asking questions like:

  • Where do you stand in the market?
  • What has been in the way of you reaching your marketing goals?
  • What have you tried in the past?
  • What’s worked, and what hasn’t?

Point B

This is where you hope to be after a year or two of consistent marketing. We determine your Point B by asking questions like:

  • Where are you trying to go?
  • What specific metrics do you want your business to meet and by when?
  • What new audiences do you want to reach?
  • What do you wish your brand could be?

The stages of your marketing journey

We use your Point A and Point B to figure out where you fall on your marketing journey, and what activities should be included on your marketing roadmap.

Set the course

This is the strategy phase when you lay the foundation for all of your growth activities. Businesses at this stage will often invest in:

  • Strategic planning

  • Website redesigns
  • eCommerce shops
  • Custom web apps

  • Performance marketing
  • Content marketing and SEO/AIO

What comes after making the marketing roadmap?

Even with a map, it is helpful to have a guide. After the completion of your marketing roadmap, your account manager will turn the USDP team loose to help you complete each of your new marketing initiatives. You can think of us as your bench of marketing professionals, working behind the scenes to help you meet your goals while you focus on what’s important.
