RUF Briquetting Systems
Ever heard of briquetting? Briquetting is the process of compressing manufacturing scrap like metal shavings and wood chips into solid ‘briquettes’ that can be reused or sold to save both money and the planet. RUF Briquetting Systems came to USDP at the height of COVID, feeling the crunch of no trade shows and no sales-related travel. RUF was looking for ways to reach prospective customers digitally, and what began as a small advertising project quickly escalated into a full-scale website redesign to serve as the top of RUF’s new marketing funnel. USDP used the StoryBrand framework to write clear and compelling messaging that drove the transformation of RUF’s website. Now, RUF’s refreshingly clean and eye-catching site clearly demonstrates to their target audience the ROI of briquetting.
With a terrific website transformation complete, RUF is on the path to digital success — and we’re now huge fans of briquetting!
What kinds of materials can be recycled into briquettes? We answered this question by creating an interactive table that organizes materials into three simple categories: metal, wood, and sludge.
RUF's website is simple because they only sell one thing: briquetting machines. To highlight RUF's superior technology, images of the different types of briquetting machines were featured throughout the pages of the site.
The process of briquetting is illustrated through step-by-step video animations on multiple subpages of the site. These animations help bring the concept of briquetting to life, making it even easier for the viewer to understand the value that briquetting could bring to their business.
