What’s your role at USDP? Digital Advertising Analyst

What’s your background? I come from an industrial background having previously worked for a material handling equipment company, selling and advertising conveyor systems, pallet racking, and mezzanines. I have extensive experience in entrepreneurship and startups, having worked for multiple companies with five employees or less. I was also once offered a seed-round investment for a self-serve craft beer concept I developed.

Why did you want to work with USDP? I was drawn to USDP because of its genuine culture. It’s very rare that you find a company where everyone is legitimately friendly with each other, and I’m happy to be part of the team. USDP also gave me the opportunity to cultivate my skills in digital advertising, which is where I want to be professionally.

What are your interests/activities outside of work?  I’m a very low-key guy, spending most of my time outside of work either watching movies or sports, working out, grabbing beers with friends, or playing video games. I’m a huge fan of EDM and attend as many concerts as I possibly can. I’m also an amateur foodie and love nothing more than checking out a new restaurant.

What do you bring to the room when you’re with the team?  I like to think that I bring a fresh perspective and innovative thinking. Through my grad school courses designed around entrepreneurship and experience working for startups, I’ve developed an entrepreneurial mindset and am always searching for new ways to solve problems. I’m hoping that this will lead to a multi-million dollar idea at some point (still waiting).

What did you want to be when you grew up? My dream was always to be a professional basketball player. However, my knees had other plans. Three surgeries later, I think that ship has sailed.

Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck, or a hundred duck-sized horses? Why? I’m choosing the horse-sized duck every time. Sure, it’s got some size, but no sharp claws or teeth or anything. Plus, I can’t imagine it would be very agile on land. KO in Round 3.
