The primary job of a business website is to give users the information they need, clearly and quickly. A high-quality, user-friendly website is an essential part of a favorable first impression. A premier clinical laboratory currently operating in eight U.S. states, MEDLAB is looking to expand their service areas. To support their continued growth, MEDLAB wanted an updated website that would serve as a user-friendly informational tool for clients and employees, while also engaging all audiences. US Digital Partners took on the challenge to create a clean, fresh design that gives users the information they need and entices them to explore further.
During this redesign process, we faced a few challenges in finding and selecting imagery (as we have mentioned in the past: Investing in Stock. Pros and Cons of Stock Imagery). Much of MEDLABs website color and design is composed of full-screen images. Finding large-scale, interesting, and relevant stock photography was crucial to achieving the desired look and feel. The images needed to convey the essence of MEDLAB while creating a relatable connection with the audience.
The results of the site refresh have distinguished MEDLAB within the clinical laboratory field. With features including large full-screen imagery, interactive location finders, and Quick Links to handy documents and logins, all MEDLAB users should be excited to experience the new and improved site.
