Live from Baltimore, it’s LEW KREHNBRINK! Developer extraordinaire with the greatest hair. Find out more about his journey at USDP in this employee spotlight.
What’s your role at USDP?
What’s your background?
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP program in 2011 with a BS of Interior Design. A few years later, I was working for a small agency in Cincinnati doing web design work where I was first introduced to programming. That got me interested in web technologies, so I spent a year or so learning the basics of web development, after which a close friend of mine put me in contact with US Digital Partners. I interviewed with John Rice and Joe Kruessel for a design position, but luckily they recognized my interest in technology and put me in front of Kevin Saffer, our technology director, to audition for a developer role. That was a little over 5 years ago this month.
Why did you want to work with USDP?
I was excited by their laid back and inviting culture, along with their diverse list of clients.
What are your interests/activities outside of work?
I still spend a lot of my free time programming, working on various personal projects. I like to write music, I enjoy red wine, and I’m an avid crossfitter. I also enjoy a good sushi date with my partner, Mo.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be an architect.
What’s your work philosophy?
I try to be thoughtful and efficient. Typically one lends to the other. I try to think creatively, and I keep growing.
What would your autobiography be called?
Probably Ciao Bella. I went to Italy for a friend’s wedding and haven’t stopped saying it since.
