Melanie Blumental joins USDP

The team is growing! We want to welcome Melanie Blumental to the crew and have her share a little about her background.

Tell us about your background.

I grew up here in Cincinnati and attended The Ohio State University (yes I said The), where I majored in Strategic Communication, another term for marketing.  I began my career working for a local marketing software company in Cleveland and managed two of their largest accounts. My husband and I then moved to Detroit for about two years, and then decided we wanted to be closer to family and made our way back to Cincinnati. Marketing has always been an interest of mine, and I am thrilled that I get to bring that experience to my new role here.

What is your primary role at USDP?

I will be managing existing projects and taking on new ones, as well as building and fostering client relationships.

How will your background lend itself to your role here?

I have worked with all different types of people and on various projects, and I think that will certainly help me at USDP. I really enjoy getting to know my clients and trying to come up with the best ideas and solutions.

I know you have only been on the job a short time, but what do you like about it so far?

Everyone here welcomed me into the “family” from the moment I walked in the door. You can tell everyone here loves their job and is excited about getting the job done well.  I already look forward to coming to work each day.  You can’t beat that.

Do you have any particular goals for joining USDP?

I like to surround myself with positive, passionate, and smart people. I find all of those traits to be contagious, especially when collaborating on a project or an idea. It’s these types of influences that help me do my best work.

What type of work are you looking forward to?

I’m excited to work on a client website from start to finish.  I am not a developer or designer, but I cannot wait to learn even more about the process and how our team comes together to create such excellent work.

So how do you spend some of your off time?

I am addicted to Reality TV, but when I’m not glued to Bravo or HGTV I love to spend time with my family, discover new places to eat and socialize in Cincinnati, and entertain my 6-month old Wheaten Terrier puppy, Riley.
