Meet Our New Web Developer Jason

Please join us in welcoming the latest addition to our development team, Jason Blanton. He brings a strong love of all things tech and a love of fantasy football.

What’s your background?
I started writing code when I discovered QBasic on a Windows 98 installation disc when I was around 10 years old. Once I got into middle school, my interest shifted towards the web and HTML. By the time I reached my sophomore year in high school I had completely redesigned and developed my high school’s website. I started freelancing a few years after graduation and haven’t looked back.

What is your primary role at US Digital Partners?
My primary role at US Digital Partners is a PHP Web Developer. While WordPress Theme and Plugin development has been a major focus of mine, I’m excited that my role at USDP has afforded me the opportunity to expand my knowledge to new platforms such as Laravel and even new languages such as .NET.

Why did you want to work at US Digital Partners?
I could write pages on why I wanted to work at US Digital Partners, but it was the team and the culture that convinced me that this was the right place for me to grow both personally and professionally.

What do you think about your job so far?
It truly has been a dream for me. The projects are fun and challenging, the clients have been great, and I could not ask for a greater group of people to work with each day.

What do you think about the people you are working with so far?
This team is phenomenal. The level of talent here is seriously insane, but what stands out most to me is that everyone here is treated like family. Nobody hesitates to pitch in or lend a hand, we all have each other’s back.

Do you have any particular goals for your work at USDP?
Right now I’m focused on learning as much as I can, from new design and development tools, to marketing, sales, and project management. I would love to be able to contribute new ideas so that this team can benefit from my knowledge as much as I’ve benefitted from theirs.

What do you like to do outside of work?
If I’m not reading about new technologies I’m probably either playing guitar, watching sports and movies, and/or hanging out with friends. I’m also a fantasy football fanatic and I have been producing a fantasy-related podcast for almost four years.
