We recently pushed live a completely new institutional website for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The project involved 32 different ministries and offices that provide services to over 500,000 Catholics in Southwestern Ohio and hundreds of schools and parishes.
We are proud of everyone who worked on this project, including about fifty people at the Archdiocese. It was a huge undertaking with lots of design and technical complexities. The new website positions the Archdiocese to take full advantage of the latest interactive tools such as blogging, social media, mobile visitors, video, email marketing, dynamic forms, and much more. We hope it serves the Archdiocese well for many years to come.
In addition to the new CatholicCincinnati.org, this is the perfect time to highlight some of the other projects we’ve completed for the Archdiocese. The launch of the new Archdiocese vocations website has also been another great success. This engaging website has become a public relations machine for helping anyone discern his or her life’s vocation. The vocations office has taken full advantage of the new social media tools for communicating their messages.
Another important project was the design and development of a completely new Education Data Center for the Archdiocese Catholic Schools Office. This web-based app manages all of the education, employment, and certification information pertaining to teachers, principals, coaches, and catechists. It is the primary tool the Archdiocese uses to track everything relating to educators. No more manual data entry on the internal database. The new Educator Data Center is a robust app available to the education community 24/7. The feedback so far from teachers and principals has been excellent.
